Animation test with Mixamo; rendered in Maya viewport 2.0
Cartoony character modeling in Maya. Here I used traditional poly modeling techniques. The character has a proper topology for deformation and completely ready for animation.
This is a sub-continental raja (king). It’s designed by one of my students, Mahmudul Hasan.
First, I threw a Mixamo rig and some Mixamo mocap data on him. Then I blended the animation in Maya's Trax editor.
This is the out of the box mocap animation. I didn't tweak anything. As you can see, the hand movements need to be a lot wider because the character has a lot of belly fat.
This was just for test purposes. Later I used Advanced Skeleton for rigging(which is in the Arnold Render); and most of the textures from www.textures.com
